Settings (which I like, as it means I can customize this unit to work Dont get me wrong there are a LOT of options and Mio GPS units are sometimes criticized for being too complicated.

To install MioPocket 2.0, which is the software package that frees the GPS unitīut first, a brief review of the C320 itself. Going to describe exactly what I went through to get it working. Since this is a bit scary for the first time GPS hacker (like me!), Im Win CE.Net operating system, and convert this GPS unit into a handheldĬomputer, or even into a different GPS system! I was going to replace it with aĭuplicate but when I learned how hackable the Mio units are,īeing hackable means that I will easily be able to access the underlying

I'll continue to look for driver for C3x0 and see if it makes any difference.Just so you know, Im not a total noob. No way to access the internal disk of the C310. Then I installed usb driver and now I get an new entry of Mobile devices->Mio DigiWalker USB Sync (with no problem) But I don't see a way of accessing it even after installing Mio Transfer (with the Hacked exe) There is no option other than MP3, Mio Online, and About. Update: I find usb driver and mio transfer installation for C250 at īefore using the driver, I get "Other devices" with a problem under Device Manager. Since it's not mine, I would preferred to leave the original MioMap proggy alone and have iGO installed and used instead (until there is a need to revert back to MioMap) The C310 is not mine but it needs to be updated with latest maps, so I'm hoping to get latest/best iGO proggy on it.

I had similar symptom on one of the iGO version on an android phone a while back.

I found that it has problem correctly snap to road when trying to acquired sats while car is moving. I just bought a C320 and still trying to test MioMap out. Lots of good stuffs but most of links are gone.

Thanks for your tips and help, I read a lot of your posts on other sites. Another possible try is to find one of my old WinXP machine and see if it works. Probably try to find one next week to try, if I couldn't get access to internal memory of C310. I do not have access to any SD card at the moment to try to see if it's accessible. It's my last resort because I don't want any registry/system files changes. I saw youtube vid of someone easily doing Mio Pocket on it via external SD card.

The URL only contained a patch to the original. Regarding Mio Transfer, I need the original Mio Transfer proggy that was on CD/DVD. I'm on Win7 and I don't have ActiveSync (at least I don't see anything indicating that's it running) When I originally plugged in the C310 (I haven't tried it on C320 yet), I get prompted regarding USB driver (which I'm desperately looking for.) Currently when I plug it in I get no prompt nor any changes under "My Computer" I think Win7 is not re-asking me and assumed I don't have driver. Does "Device Manager" or "Windows Device Mobile Center" on your computer show anything? I wonder if making it activesync will do anything. Please post your results and what you did. BTW, do you see anything in "My Computer" when you connect the USB cable from the device to your computer? You could always delete the entire internal and copy/paste my unlock. I suppose there is another possibilty but it involves your taking a risk. However, the link I gave you above is the Hack. I checked my disk for my C320 and I can't find ANY Mio Transfer anything on it at all. As for Total Commander, I thought it gives the user complete access to the device and its files. My understanding is it doesn't give the user the ability to delete things as folders but only as individual files. I'm pretty sure if you download the link that I gave you above for the Transfer Hack it should work with your device - I hope. Please post your results with the 310 per the post above.

So you must replace these files in the root to get TTS Plus it's slow because it uses USB 1.1. Look at Total Commander it might just be better. Using the Mio Transfer Hack should help if you need it.

Also, it uses OS 3.2 which I'm not sure lets it be seen by the computer after deleting all the files. You might be able to do it through Windows Explorer.Ĭ310: You need to make modification in the sys.txt since the resolution is 320_240. Can you say old? Also, the unlock changed the MioMap folder so I don't think there's a way to get to both navs by pressing a button. Question: Why would you want to use MioMap? Its maps are from 2007.
